I) SERVICES
a) Setup new computer (laptop/notebook, PC, Server)
b) Hardware upgrades (memory, hard drive, video card & like items)
c) Software/Operating System install and upgrades
d) Improve System Performance
e) Troubleshooting (software & hardware problems)
f) Wireless & Wired LAN setup
g) Backup strategies and implementation
h) Setup Security (firewall, anti-virus, & like items)
i) Basic instruction on using your new computer using “best practices”
j) Network Analysis & Administration
k) Continued support via remote assistance over the internet
l) Write Technical and System Documentation
II) Definition of time charged
a) Cost – Initially, $40 for any amount of time during the 1st hour, thereafter $40 per hour broken into 15 minute intervals. If time goes over a 15 minute interval, cost is based on the 15 minute interval in which the minute hand is closest to. All services are chargeable.
b) What’s included
i) Helping client decide what needs to be done
ii) Recommendations, if any, on hardware and software upgrades
(1) Any purchases will be “at cost” of whatever is the cheapest and available at time of request
(a) Client’s choice of “local purchase – faster, but more expensive or through internet purchase – slower, but less expensive”
iii) Transferring/Uploading old data to new machine
iv) Testing to insure requested work is completed
c) What’s not included
i) Cost of client’s hardware purchases and/or upgrades
ii) Cost of any software client does not own but wants or needs
iii) Free support after the completion of client’s assigned tasks
iv) Any other cost not mentioned above that is not related to “service”
III) Hours of Operation & Payment
a) Hours of operation are flexible and is by appointment only
b) All work will be completed at my residence with the exception of home networking & new computer setup
i) It is the responsibility of the client to deliver and pickup their computer
c) Payment is due either by cash or check
