Personal Information
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Rocky River, Ohio (a western suburb). After High School, I attended Ohio State University for two years studying Business Administration, Biology, Physics and Photography. I then transferred to Florida Institute of Technology, Jensen Beach Campus where my three years of study included Oceanographic, Environmental and Photographic Technology. I also studied Computer Science for a year at Roosevelt University and one year as a Psychology major at Corpus Christi Community College.
I joined the U.S. Navy Submarine Service in 1980 where I was first assigned to an old Nautilus class submarine (USS Skate SSN-572) and then a Los Angeles class fast-attack submarine (USS Omaha SSN-692). I was stationed at Pearl Harbor Sub-Base, Hawaii. I was honorably discharged after six years of service in 1986.
I started my civilian career with computers in 1987. I moved back to my hometown in 1990, and continued with my interest, experience and employment in the Information Systems/Technology arena as a network engineer, tier 1, 2, & 3 distributed computer environments working for very large companies.
After being downsized from a large bank in Cleveland, I moved to Atlanta just before 9.11 happened. I decided at that time to change career paths.
I started taking some medical courses and received two certifications. I was later recruited at a hospital in Asheville, NC. I worked as a telemetary technician for a year and a half but found the medical field not to my liking.
I started my own business with Computer Consulting in 2004.
I enjoy photography, camping/the outdoors, travel & adventure, fast cars, scuba, rock-n-roll, jazz, cooking and of course, computers and technology.
